I am confused, pictures are a set size, so many pixels tall by so many pixels wide. This is set no matter what picture format us used, psd, jpeg, gif, bmp. Any pictures should print out at the respective size. Most printers will print at 300dpi, so something 900 pixel wide by 900 pixel tall should print out at 3" by 3" at 300 dpi from a printer.

High definition tv screens are 1080i or 1080p max resolution, this is only 1920x1080 pixels, or a 7" by 3" image printed at 300dpi on a printer.

So a picture even only 1000 px wide, will look relative nice on a high definition screen, although it is very low resolution, for print purposes.

The screen itself will not dictate how large or small an image will be printed, like I said above that is set by the device that takes the image, or the program, like photoshop used to manipulate the image.

Computers screen resolution is dynamic, it has a max resolution it can display, but most be people run 1024px by 768px. The fair dell is only set to 800px by 600px. So at these resolution even low resolution images will look good, but what you are seeing at full screen is only really good for 3" x 3" prints.

The only real advice I can give you is read the image dimesions in pixels, with a program, photoshop, paint, even windows xp can tell you, but it is kind of hidden. After you know the dimesions, divide by 300 and that is the max size in inches you should print the pictures at before they look fuzzy.
